Hi, I'm Jasu
A self-taught professional artist living in Finland
I was born in 1993 in Oulainen, a tiny Finnish village, one of thirteen in a big, noisy family. I always slipped away to the forest alone — there I was the fastest horse in the world, or the most skilled tiger, or a seal gliding through the lake. Every game I played was really the first draft of a story.
"The forest was my favorite place — there I'd spend hours imagining I was the fastest horse in the whole entire world."
That same instinct for wonder still guides every painting: watercolor washes, fantastical creatures, and quiet nature scenes that turn an ordinary page into somewhere else entirely.
