A Wedding and a Birthday; The Creation of Two Custom Cards

a_ref_webbd

So far all the card commissions I've got have been very fun to create! What makes them especially fun in my opinion, is that they're small scale artworks and take less time to finish, thus, they don't really require much patience. In other words; they're easy. :'D

This wedding card I created last year. I got to create it based on my own vision and this is what I thought would be a fitting card for the couple. Above is the finished lineart of the card, below the original sketch of the idea as I first got it.

I'm definitely not a romantic person and so if I get to use my free will 100%, my kind of wedding card is not going to be anything too romantic. Above is the finished card after my watercolor treatment, below the scanned artwork.

Above you see some images of the process of a custom birthday card I created in March. The first image is the original sketch that the client was happy to proceed with.

The second image is the pencil sketch I make with blue lead before "inking" the lineart with regular, dark lead.

The third image shows the finished lineart that I then scan and color in Photoshop. There's a time-lapse video of the coloring process coming later on my YouTube channel, so make sure to subscribe there (youtube.com/jasuwonderworld).

The fourth picture shows me holding the printed card, on the right you see the finished image file I used for printing it.
