The 25th anniversary of the Helsinki Book Fair culminated in an all-time record: over four days, an incredible 104,000 visitors visited the fair! This historic figure clearly broke the previous year's record and confirmed the Helsinki Book Fair's position as Finland's most significant cultural event.
The 2025 theme, Education and Joy , was visible on the fair stages in an unprecedented way. In honor of the anniversary, a historic moment was witnessed on the Senate Square stage when all of our country's presidents, from Alexander Stubb to Sauli Niinistö and Tarja Halonen, participated in discussions about the power of education. President Stubb summed up the atmosphere by stating that reading is the most enduring cornerstone of Finnish society.
Over the course of four days, nearly 1,000 inspiring program numbers were experienced and nearly a thousand performers, from top domestic names to international stars, shone on stage. The Helsinki Fair Centre was filled with a unique atmosphere, encounters and the joy of reading.
A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our hundred thousand visitors – you made the anniversary unforgettable! 📖✨
