Faunus Lady - A Commissioned Digital Logo Design

a_ref_digilogo

Last summer I was commissioned a logo for an online store. The client wanted it done digitally, which I was delighted about since I very rarely get to do such commissions. The idea of the logo was to have a portrait of a faunus lady, vaguely resembling the face of the commissioner. Foresty tones, such as different greens and browns, were also something she wanted. I think what I enjoyed creating the most for this logo though, were the horns!

The very first sketch for the logo. The client was happy with it so my next step was coloring.
Here's the colored sketch. After some adjustments, the client was happy with the color scheme and it was time to get detailed.
Here's the finished logo.

I find my way of painting digitally a little "rigid" but I know it's because I haven't got a lot of practice creating digital artworks. I'll be happy to get some more practice in the future to get my digital painting style look smoother and more confident. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely happy with this logo, but I recognize I have plenty of room for improvement and I know the direction I want to take my digital creations from now on.
